The key remains inserted when the lock is open. The AXA Defender has a low overall height (only 46 mm). This makes it easier to fit on small frames. The locks are tested according to the Dutch ART standard. (708 g and 675 g/ NL). Key: Two numbered keys. Mounting: Eyelets: With the three cut-outs on both sides at half lock height on the eyelets of the saddle rails. Bar plate: With the two M5x30 mm carriage bolts (28 mm apart) embedded at the top of the lock on the bar plate (Pletscher plate). A plastic spacer 18 mm high is attached to ensure tension-free mounting between the saddle struts. This also protects against bolt cutters. Material: The riveted housing made of strong sheet steel is enclosed in a solid plastic housing. Bolt cutters cannot crack it. The hardened lock bolt has a diameter of 8.5 mm. The shackle is 100 mm high and 50 mm wide.
